How to Create a Live Event in Vimmi
Creating a live event in Vimmi is a straightforward process that allows you to engage with your audience in real-time. Follow these steps to set up your live event:
Step 1: Access the Live Tab
1. Log in to your Vimmi account.
2. Navigate to the ‘Live’ tab located in the main menu.
Step 2: Initiate the Live Event
1. Press the “Go Live” button to start the process of creating a new live event.
Step 3: Configure Live Event Details
Upon pressing “Go Live,” you will be redirected to the Live Event page where a pop-up window will appear. Here, you need to complete the following steps:
1. Upload Posters:
• Horizontal and Vertical Posters: Click on the upload icons to select image files from your device for both the horizontal and vertical posters.
• Crop Images: After selecting an image, a cropping tool will appear, allowing you to adjust the selected area to the correct aspect ratio. This ensures your posters fit perfectly and look professional.
2. Event Details:
• Title: Enter a name for your live event in the Title field. This is a required field and will help your audience identify the event.
3. Private Event Settings (Optional):
• Enable Private Event: If you want to make your event private, toggle the “Live password protect in store” option.
• Set Password: When this option is enabled, you can set a password for your live event. Viewers will need to enter this password to join the event, adding an extra layer of security.
Step 4: Finalize and Create Event
1. Cancel (Optional): If you decide not to create the event, you can press the “Cancel” button. This will return you to the previous page without creating the event.
2. Enter Studio: To proceed with creating the event using the parameters you have set, press the “Enter Studio” button. This will close the pop-up and finalize the creation of your live event.
