If viewers hear your voice a little ahead of (or behind) your lips during a live stream, fix it with Sync Offset (ms) in Live Studio. You can adjust it before going live or during the event, and verify instantly with Preview.

Main Steps

  1. Open your live event

Go to Live → Scheduled Live and open the event (or click Go Live for an immediate stream).

  2. Open Settings (gear icon)

On the top control bar in Live Studio, click the gear ⚙️ to open the Settings panel.

  3. Set the Sync Offset (ms)

In Settings → Sync Offset (ms), use – / + or type a value, then click Save.

    • If audio leads the video (you hear words before lips move) → increase the offset to delay audio slightly.

    • If audio lags the video (you hear words after lips move) → reduce the offset (back toward 0) or—if allowed—use a negative value.

  4. Preview and fine-tune

Click the Preview (eye) icon to open a viewer tab. Do a quick “clap test” or say “one-two” and watch your lips. Repeat small adjustments (e.g., ±50–100 ms) until sync looks perfect.

Tips

  • Keep the Preview tab muted (or wear headphones) to avoid echo.

  • Start with small steps (50–100 ms); large jumps make it harder to judge.

  • Reset to default anytime by setting the value to 0 ms and Save.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • I don’t see Sync Offset. Make sure you’re on the live event page and opened Settings via the ⚙️ icon.

  • My change didn’t apply. Click Save, then refresh the Preview tab.

  • Viewers still report desync. Ask them to refresh; check your network stability and close heavy apps.

  • Which direction should I go?

    • Audio ahead of video → increase offset (delay audio).

    • Audio behind video → decrease offset (toward 0) or use a negative value if supported.
