Need to see the show exactly like your viewers will? Use Preview. From the live event page you can open a viewer page in a new tab to check picture, audio, shoppable overlays, and chat—both before you go live and while you’re live.
Main Steps
Open your event
Go to Live → Scheduled Live and click the event card (or click Go Live for an immediate stream). See How to create a Live event
Click Preview
On the event page, press the Preview (eye) icon. A new browser tab opens with the same player your audience will see.
Check what matters
Verify camera framing and audio levels (mute the preview tab to avoid echo).
If you attached products, scrub the timeline to confirm shoppable overlays appear at the right moments.
If you embedded the live on your site, open that page too and confirm the widget loads.
Keep it open while streaming (optional)
Leave the preview tab open during the live to spot issues early. It won’t affect the stream.
Notes & best practices
A small delay between Studio and the preview is normal. External socials can add more delay.
Use headphones or mute the preview tab to prevent audio feedback.
For password-protected lives, the preview reflects the viewer experience (you’ll be signed in as host).
Troubleshooting / FAQ
The Preview button is greyed out.
Finish required setup first (title, date/time, posters if required) and make sure camera/mic permissions are granted. For scheduled events, open the event editor; the eye icon appears once the setup section is complete.
I see a black screen in Preview.
Confirm your camera (or OBS Virtual Camera) is selected and running. Refresh the page, then relaunch Preview. Close other apps that may be using the camera.
No audio in Preview.
Check the Microphone selected in Live Studio. If you route audio from OBS, be sure your virtual audio device is selected as the mic.
The preview on my website doesn’t load.
