Open Settings in your Vimmi Console
Go to the Destinations tab
Click Add Connection
Choose Instagram
Authorize access and confirm connection
1. Go to Settings
From your Vimmi Console, click Settings in the top navigation bar.
This section manages integrations, connected platforms, and publishing destinations.
2. Open the Destinations tab
Inside Settings, click the Destinations tab.
Here you’ll see all connected accounts (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, etc.).
💡 Tip: You can connect multiple accounts from different platforms in this section.
3. Click Add Connection
Click the green Add Connection button.
This opens a list of supported platforms.
4. Choose Instagram
From the available platforms list, select Instagram.
You’ll see a popup window prompting you to log in.
5. Log Into Instagram and Authorize Access
In the popup:
Enter your Instagram login credentials.
Approve access permissions requested by Vimmi.
Wait until the authorization completes and the popup closes automatically.
🎉 That’s it!
Your Instagram account is now connected to Vimmi — you can use it as a destination for publishing or importing videos.
Verify the Connection
Return to the Destinations tab.
Your connected Instagram account should now appear in the list with an “Active” status indicator.
If it doesn’t:
Reload the page.
Check if pop-ups were blocked by your browser.
Try reconnecting.
Troubleshooting
Connection fails at login
Double-check that you’re logging into the correct Instagram account.
Make sure your browser isn’t blocking the authorization popup.
Limited functionality
Ensure your account type is Business or Creator — personal accounts may not support video import/export.
Multiple accounts
If you manage several Instagram profiles, verify that the right one was selected during authorization.
Reconnect if the wrong account was added.

Currently, Vimmi supports one Instagram account per channel. You can reconnect or switch anytime.

Yes — only Business and Creator accounts have API access for importing and publishing videos.
