Creating a Video Mall widget lets you display multiple shoppable videos in a tabbed gallery. Each tab can show a different playlist (for example by collection or theme), and shoppers can explore and purchase products without leaving your site.

You can also stream your Live directly to the embedded Video Mall widget — once it’s placed on your website

This article explains how to:

  • Access the Embed Management section and create a new Video Mall widget.

  • Configure tabs, source playlists.

  • Configure your desired Website destination where your embeds will be displayed

  • Add Embeds to your websites (Shopify, Elementor, Fourthwall or a native HTML site).

Main steps

  1. Open Embed Management in Vimmi Console and create a new Video Mall widget.

  2. Configure video sources, tabs and appearance settings.

  3. Add your site domain under Website destinations.

  4. Copy the embed code and insert it into your storefront (Shopify, Elementor, Fourthwall or native site).

  5. Save and test the widget, then update playlists and appearance when needed.

Open Embed Management and create a Video Mall widget

  1. Log in to your Vimmi Console. From the top navigation, go to Embed Management. Here you’ll see a table of existing widgets and a Create Embed button.

  2. Click Create Embed -> Video Mall

Configurations

After choosing Video Mall, the editor opens. Use the sidebar sections to set up your widget:

Give your Video Mall a clear name

This name appears internally in the Console so you can easily identify it.

Live Tab

If you run live shopping events on Vimmi, you can enable a Live tab in your Video Mall widget. This tab appears only when a live event is currently On Air and disappears once the event ends. It allows viewers to jump straight into your live show without leaving the widget.

  • Show Tab toggle: By default, the toggle is ON, so the Live tab is visible automatically when a Live event is available. Turning it off hides the tab entirely.

Tabs

The Tabs section lets you organize your Video Mall into multiple categories—ideal for grouping playlists by theme (e.g., New Arrivals, Best Sellers, Tutorials). Each tab displays a different playlist, and visitors can switch between all tabs

Creating a new tab

  • In the Video Mall editor, scroll to the Tabs section.

  • Click Create player tab button.

  • Enter a descriptive name (e.g., “New Arrivals”) and click Save.

  • After saving, click Select Playlist and choose which playlist will populate this tab.

Note: You can create a few Tabs within one Video Mall.

Tab options (gear icon menu)

Each tab has a gear icon next to its name

Clicking that icon opens a menu with three controls:

  • Show Tab (toggle)

    • ON: the tab is visible in the widget.

    • OFF: the tab is hidden from shoppers but still exists in your Mall setup.

Tip: Use this if you’re preparing a seasonal tab (“Black Friday”) in advance, or pausing an underperforming tab without deleting it.

  • Edit

    • Rename the tab

  • Remove

    • Deletes this tab completely from the Mall.

    • This cannot be undone, so remove only if you’re sure you don’t need that category anymore.

Change playlist

  • Next to the Player Embed – … selector, click the swap (↻) icon — this lets you replace the current playlist with any other available playlist without recreating the tab.

Remove playlist

  • Click the trash icon (🗑) next to the playlist selector to delete the current playlist from this tab.

Manage playlist videos

  • Click the folder icon next to the playlist selector to open the playlist management page.

  • You’ll be redirected out of the Video Mall editor, so make sure to save all changes before leaving.

  • In the playlist view, you can add, remove, or reorder videos inside that playlist.

Reorder

  • Use the up/down arrow buttons to move a tab higher or lower in the list, controlling which tab appears first.

Manage individual video

Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on any video thumbnail and select Go to the item page.

This will take you to the Manage Video page, where you can edit video details.

Before leaving the Video Mall editor, make sure to save all changes, as this action opens a new page.

Publish Toggle

At the top of the Video Mall editor you’ll see a Publish switch. This controls whether your widget is active or kept as a draft.

  • On (Published) – When the toggle is enabled, the widget is active.

  • Off (Unpublished) – When disabled, the widget is saved but not displayed.

Player Configuration

The Player Configuration section lets you fine‑tune how your Video Mall widget looks.

  • Width: This controls how wide the widget is within its container. By default it’s set to 100 %, so the mall stretches to fill the parent element. You can change the value (e.g., 80) and choose between Percent and Pixels in the dropdown.

  • Set height: Toggle this on if you want to define a fixed height. When disabled, the height adapts to the aspect ratio of your videos. If enabled, enter a numeric value (e.g., 600).

  • Round Corners: Adjust the corner radius of the widget. Use the slider to set how rounded the edges are (in pixels). Setting this to 0 gives sharp corners, while higher values create softer, rounded edges.

  • Video Fit Mode:

    • Fill Player: The video fills the entire player area, cropping if necessary.

    • Fit to Player: The video fits entirely within the player, adding letterboxing if the aspect ratios differ.

  • Show Branding: Toggle this to display or hide your branding (logo) overlay on the player. Click Configure to upload a logo and update the name.

Add Website destination (whitelist your domain)

Your widget will only load on approved domains. To add your site:

  • In the editor’s Website destinations section, click Add destination.

  • Enter your site’s full URL (e.g., https://www.example.com).

  • Click + to add it to the list and Save. Without this step, the widget will not render on your site.

Note: The Store that you have added during the Onboarding will be added by default to all your widgets. Additional destinations are managed per Embed

Copy embed code and insert it on your storefront

Once your widget is configured:

  • Click Embed code in the top right of the editor.

  • Copy the entire snippet.

  • Insert the code into your website.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Possible cause & solution

Widget not showing on the site

Verify your domain is added under Website destinations and the widget status is Active. Confirm you saved the embed after editing.

Tabs or videos missing

Check that each tab has a playlist selected and that the playlists contain videos. Ensure the videos are published and visible.

Layout issues

Adjust the width/height or corner radius in the Appearance settings. Check that the parent container in your site’s CSS isn’t constraining the widget’s size.

Changes not updating

Refresh your site’s page (use incognito to bypass cache). Ensure you clicked Save in Vimmi Console.

FAQ

Q: Can I reuse the same Video Mall on multiple pages?
Yes. Use the same embed code on as many pages as needed. Any changes you make to the widget will update across all pages.

Q: How do I add more videos to a tab?
Edit the playlist associated with that tab in Videos → Playlists and add videos. The updated playlist will automatically display more videos in the mall.

Q: Can I post videos from the Video Mall directly to social media?
No. Social posting is done at the individual video level from the Destinations panel of each video. Video Mall is for on‑site embedding.

Q: What’s the difference between Video Mall and Video Carousel?
A Video Carousel shows videos in a horizontal slider; a Video Mall shows videos in tabs (multiple playlists) within a single widget. Use Video Mall when you need multiple categories/tabs. How to create and set up a Video Mall widget
