How to Schedule a Live Event

Live Shopping with Vimmi lets you announce a date, line up products, and broadcast to your storefront and social channels from one place. In a few minutes you’ll create an event page with posters, pick where it streams (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch), decide if it’s public or password-protected, and optionally record it so shoppers can watch the replay later. This guide walks you through the full flow end-to-end, with links to related setup articles.

Main Steps

  1. Live → Schedule Live

  2. Add details & posters

  3. Add Featured products to showcase

  4. Choose Destinations (connect accounts if needed)

  5. (Optional) Record and/or Password-protect

  6. Schedule Live, then manage or go live from the dashboard


Open the scheduler

In Vimmi Console, go to LiveSchedule Live. You’ll land on the event setup page.

Choose your Stream type

  • Go live from your browser — stream with your camera/screen directly via Vimmi

Tip: The Import menu (top of the form) lets you reuse assets from previous lives when available.

Add event details & posters

Details

  • Title (required) — the name of your event.

  • Description(optional)

  • Start Date & time (required) — when the live begins.

You can go live at any time — before or after the scheduled time.

Recording

  • Toggle Record and save your shoppable live event for later viewing

Private Event (password)

  • Toggle Protect the event with a password to restrict access to invited guests.

⚠️ Private Event applies to the Video Mall embedded player on your storefront only. Do not post a Private Event to social platforms.

Media → Posters

  • Upload Horizontal and Vertical posters. Use clear, on-brand images that represent the event.

Add Featured products

  • In Featured products for live event, click Add product.

  • Search and press + to add items you plan to highlight.

  • You can add several; they’ll be available to surface during the live and in the embedded player.

Step 5 — Choose Destinations

  • All destinations are displayed in this section.

  • Toggle ON the destinations

You can stream to your storefront and multiple social destinations at once.

Schedule the event

Click Schedule Live (top-right). Your event now appears under Live → Scheduled with a card showing title, time, and a menu.

Manage a scheduled event

Open (three dots) to:

  • Edit — change details, posters, products, destinations.

  • Reschedule — move the date/time.

  • Email notification template — copy a ready-made HTML snippet for your CRM (e.g., Klaviyo) and share calendar links (Google / iCal / Outlook) with your audience.

  • Delete — remove the event.

Go live

When it’s time, open Live, find your event card, and click Go live.

If recording was enabled, a replay will appear automatically after the event ends.

You can go live at any time — before or after the scheduled time.

FAQ / Troubleshooting

You need to connect it first. Go to Settings → Social Accounts and link your platform

Why does a destination show “Reconnect”?

Click Reconnect and complete the authorization flow. Make sure the connected account still grants Vimmi the necessary permissions.

Why can’t viewers access my live event?

If Protect the event with a password is enabled, the stream is private and visible only on your embedded storefront. Do not post private live events on social platforms.

Why won’t my posters upload?

Use JPG or PNG format, reduce file size, and re-upload both Horizontal and Vertical poster versions.
